The MyFitnessPal app allows users to track their calorie intake and calories burned during exercise. Under Armour said: “The company quickly took steps to determine the nature and scope of the issue and to alert the MyFitnessPal community of the incident. Users were alerted via email four days later, and have been urged to change their passwords immediately, including those for other accounts connected to MyFitnessPal. In a statement, Under Armour revealed that although the attack occurred in late February, they did not discover the security breach until 25th March. Personal details of around 150 million app users, including passwords, usernames and email addresses are at risk. US brand Under Armour revealed that the popular health and nutrition tracking app MyFitnessPal has suffered a data breach last month, after being hacked.
